Salisbury University Environmental Studies students are documenting personal experiences with environmental changes and nature, particularly tidal flooding, storms, etc. The hope is to contribute to a broader effort to understand and preserve Crisfield’s history in the face of environmental change. Participants will receive a monetary stipend.

 

Tawes Historical Museum

The JM Tawes Historical Museum opens for the season on Saturday, May 3rd. Come see the new and updated exhibits for this season. The Gift Shop will be open with new merchandise and many sale items. The Museum will be open on Tuesday-Saturday from 10 – 2 PM.

Dr. Paul Ewell will talk about Capt. Leonard S. Tawes on May 3rd at 6 PM. Doors open at 5:30 and light refreshments will be served.

The Ward Brothers Workshop will be open on May 3rd, 17th , and 31st from 10 – 2 PM with tours and carving demonstrations.

 

2025 Hangin’ Out Art Show

May 14 – 18, 2025

The Hangin’ Out Art Show warmly invites all artists, musicians, writers, and creative hobbyists to present their work at this inclusive gallery event. There are no entry fees, and everyone is welcome to attend.  This show is not juried and is not censored, unlike our month-long exhibits, so you may express yourself freely. Artists can submit a single original piece and have the option to sell it with a 15% commission. Participants may choose to display their names or remain anonymous. The show embraces a range of art forms, including sketches, sculptures, digital art, and performances. Inspired by a 19th-century Paris exhibition, this event continues the tradition of inclusive art shows. Be a part of this very special annual event.  Register online or in-person at Corbin Studio in Crisfield.

The Tangier Sound Music Festival is back! The Tangier Sound Music Festival began in Crisfield, MD in 1990. With its beautiful waterfront location on Hammock Pointe, the festival attracted more than 15,000 concert goers each year. Attendees got to see artists such as John Michael Montgomery, Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw.  
The High Tide Club of Crisfield, MD and its nonprofit affiliate, Rising Tide Crisfield, are bringing back this legendary music festival in 2025! Get ready for a day filled with amazing music, good vibes, great food, and unforgettable memories. Join us on May 24, 2025 in the beautiful waterfront community of Crisfield, MD. Magic: The Gathering (MTG) is a card game created by Richard Garfield in 1993. Players use cards to cast spells and summon creatures. The aim is to reduce opponents' life totals to zero or achieve alternative win conditions. Explore the strategic world of Magic: The Gathering at this educational and entertaining workshop.
