Funds awarded for art bike racks in Crisfield

The Maryland State Arts Council has awarded the Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Project $20,000 through the Public Art Across Maryland (PAAM) grant. This project will provide six art bike racks throughout the Crisfield area. The designs to be implemented were identified through a 2020 PAAM design grant and can be viewed at CrisfieldArts.org. William “Bill” Hawkins of Hawkins Fabrications has been selected to complete this work.  The selected designs were created by artists Evelyn Brumwell, Christina Carlson, and Jim Macko. The project will begin February of 2022 with all racks completed by August. The dedication for all bike racks is anticipated to take place at the August 27th 4th Saturday Bay Stroll at the City Docks.
