Artist Workshop Facilitator

Job Description





The Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Project is seeking an Artist Workshop Facilitator for workshops through the Corbin Studio and Gallery at 4 E Main Street in Crisfield, Maryland.  This position may require both virtual and in-person workshop facilitation.  In-person workshops are not currently expected to occur until the summer of 2021.


Job duties include:

  • Reviewing class sign-ups in online software

  • Replying to each sign-up email to acknowledge receipt

  • Sending reminder emails to all workshop attendees at one week, and again at one day before the workshop

  • Attending all workshops, which may be in person or virtual.  For virtual workshops, removing anyone who is not signed up for the workshop.

  • For in person workshops, set up chairs, tables, etc in advance and clean up afterwards.


The selected candidate must have or be able to quickly acquire the following skills:


  • Respond within 24 hours to all student and workshop related emails

  • Proficient virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet

  • Proficient in Excel (to review student sign ups)

  • Put students first when attending workshops, not monopolizing instructor’s time with students.

  • Reliable for tracking in-person payments through cash or check.  Credit card payments for workshops will be made on line.

  • Able to work on evenings and Saturdays.

  • Enjoy attending a variety of art (painting, photography, music, etc) workshops for all ages.


Workshops will be paid at $75 per event.  This fee covers both attending the workshop and handling the emails in advance.
